اعتبر الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد أن حسم معركة حلب سيشكل “محطة كبيرة” باتجاه نهاية الحرب التي تشهدها بلاده منذ أكثر من خمس سنوات.
وقال الأسد لصحيفة الوطن السورية: “صحيح أن معركة حلب ستكون ربحاً، لكن لكي نكون واقعيين لا تعني نهاية الحرب في سوريا.. أي أنها تعني محطة كبيرة باتجاه هذه النهاية”.
ونقلت فرانس برس عن الأسد قوله: “لكن لا تنتهي الحرب في سوريا إلا بعد القضاء على الإرهاب تماماً، فالإرهابيون موجودون في مناطق أخرى. وحتى لو انتهينا من حلب، فإننا سنتابع الحرب عليهم”.
تأتي مواقف الأسد بعد إحراز الجيش السوري تقدما سريعا في هجوم بدأه منتصف الشهر الماضي، وتمكن بموجبه من استعادة السيطرة على أجزاء واسعة من الأحياء الشرقية التي كانت تسيطر عليها فصائل المعارضة منذ العام 2012.
وفي السياق ذاته، قال الأسد: “فشل المعركة في حلب (بالنسبة للمقاتلين وداعميهم) يعني تحول مجرى الحرب في كل سوريا وبالتالي سقوط المشروع الخارجي سواء كان إقليميا أو غربيا”.
وردا على سؤال عما “اذا انتهت الهدن اليوم” في حلب، قال الرئيس السوري “عملياً غير موجودة طبعاً.. هم ما زالوا مصرين على طلب الهدنة وخاصة الأميركيون، لأن عملاءهم من الإرهابيين أصبحوا في وضع صعب”.
واقترحت الفصائل المقاتلة في شرق حلب الأربعاء ما اسمتها مبادرة من أربعة بنود “لإنهاء معاناة” المدنيين، تنص على “إعلان هدنة إنسانية فورية لمدة خمسة أيام” يتم خلالها “إخلاء الحالات الطبية الحرجة.. وإخلاء المدنيين الراغبين”. انتهى
